A long time coming…and the biggest trade show and world championship qualifier are upon us!
After some tough negotiations for press credentials, uRide.tv has finally proven to be a vehicle in motion, a power house. Ironman 70.3 in Cancun, Mexico will be filmed by a trained videographer team; while, Interbike 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada will have half of a bakers dozen of videographers on hand.
Cancun, Mexico is the last official Ironman race in which one may compete for a World Championship slot in Clearwater, Florida. The 70.3 course will prove to be anything but easy. According to the event director, the “SWIM: 1.2 miles (1.9 km or 1 lap), starts and finishes at Nizuc beach (250 meter from Wet n Wild park). Water temperature for the month of September in Cancun is likely to be around 84°F; therefore, wetsuits will not be permitted. Based in the Caribbean waters and through the Mayan temples, the race is designed to be tough. The bike course is 56 miles, which starts on Kukulcan Boulevard. The course is flat, paved on very good conditions and with a few sharp corners. The half marathon course is 2 laps on a 6.6 mile circuit, starting at the Wet N Wild parking lot to the right, towards downtown Cancun on Kukulcan Boulevard. There are aid stations every other km with Gatorade, water, ice, PowerBar (bars and gel), Vaseline, Coke and medical assistance. There will be race officials at every turnaround and along the course, as well as timing mats and video cameras.” So be sure to stay tuned in and watch live coverage on Ironman and highlights on uRide.tv!
Interbike 2009: Outdoor Dirt Demo is taking place in Boulder City, Nevada September 21 – 22, where you can literally test hundreds of different frames on an outdoor riding course. It is a great way to experience riding the new titanium frame or the new carbon handlebars on your favorite bike. The actual product show Interbike, is in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 23 – 25th, 2009. This show allows manufacturers to display their products they have developed for the upcoming year to retailers and people within the cycling industry. People travel from as far away as China, Europe and South America to showcase their products and services or to even negotiate in new business ventures. About one thousand booths are actively registered at the show this year and uRide.tv plans on capturing at least half of those in product commercials for this next year! So stay tuned to find your favorite manufacturers and what they have lined up for you and for 2010!

uRide.tv participating in filming the Ironman Lake Placid, ABA’s BMX Southwest Nationals and ESPN’s X Games!
Big events, awesome number of participants and Olympic athletes being filmed by BikeWear World L.L.C. and uRide.tv…
“Taking this to the next level,” says Sami Tauber, CEO of BikeWear World L.L.C. “The game has been brought and we have upped the ante, going large. We will be flying to New York City, Tucson, Arizona, and Los Angeles for some serious sporting events. Bike shops are even anticipating our crews producing video commercials. Time is now and it’s hot!”
The Ironman Lake Placid is coordinated by FORD Ironman USA and is a serious race with several big titles and names participating. According to the race director, “The Ironman event is centered amidst the northern beauty of the Adirondack region, Lake Placid, which is a solid choice as host for the Triathlon. The Lake Placid course presents challenging sections on both the bike and run courses that gave last year's nearly 2,000 competitors a workout to remember. Famous champions include Thomas Hellriegel, Heather Fuhr, Melissa Spooner, Steve Larsen, and Cameron Widoff. The course is nothing short of spectacular. The swim takes place in the pristine Mirror Lake. The challenging bike course winds through the Adirondack Mountains, and is both scenic and tough - what more could a triathlete want? The run is no picnic, either, and offers up some more great scenery, along with some more challenging hills. Put it all together and you have the essence of Ironman ... a race that captures both the beauty and the challenges of the area, and the sport.” With 65 age group slots and 7 pro slots shooting for World Championships in Kona, Hawaii, this will mark an unbelievable venue!
Don`t miss what will be one of the Best National Events of 2009! The BMX southwest nationals will be bringing out some serious competition to date. Several of the Olympic riders will be racing against each other and the clock for an unprecedented track ride of the year! The event will be held inside a World class facility in Tucson, Arizona. “It will be interesting to watch and catch up with all of our favorites for sure; like Phil Delizia, Dominique Daniels, and Mikey Day” says Tauber.
“ESPN celebrates an anniversary with 200 athletes for the X Games. The 15th annual action sports competition will be held in Los Angeles July 30- Aug. 2, 2009, and will feature the world's best athletes competing in: BMX Freestyle, Moto X, Skateboard and Rally Car Racing. Stewart also won the 2009 AMA Supercross Championship. This will be the first X Games appearance for Stewart. In addition to the two new disciplines, two events have been renamed for 2009. Moto X Racing will be renamed Super X where you will see the debut of racing icon, James Stewart, compete in his first X Games. Skateboard and BMX Freestyle SuperPark will be renamed to Skateboard Park and BMX Freestyle Park where you will see Rune Glifberg and Daniel Dhers defend their titles, respectively. Glifberg is one of the few athletes who will celebrate his 15th X Games having competed in every X Games since its inception in 1995. Moto X Freestyle keeps its same name, but will assume a new jam style format that will result in quicker scoring and face-paced freestyle competition.”
